When did ped advise you to give vitamins?
DS is 3 months old and a few friends with babies the same age have been giving their babies TriViSol as per their doctors recommendation. My ped. told me that as long as I am taking my prenatal vitamin I don't need to give him anything until 6 months, which would the be the prescription one. Just wanted to see what everyone else's doctor thinks about this...

DD has been on trivisol since she was a month old as per the ped.

I think it depends if you BF or not. Formula has enough vitamin D in it already so FF babies don't need the vitamins.

DD has been taking Vitamin D since her one month appt as per the ped because she is fed 75% breastmilk. Babies don't go out in the sun enough to get the proper vitamin D.. it doesn't matter if you do or not, there just isn't enough in BM.

Exactly. DD is formula fed- started vitamins at 6 months

DD was formula fed. Her ped started her on vitamins at 6 mths old. she still takes them (the chewables now though) and she is 4.5.
