When did you get really uncomfortable?

I have a pretty active job...pretty much on my feet and walking all day long. Also getting on/off the floor and squatting to play with kids.

I am hoping to work till 31 weeks...Is this realistic????

I am 22 weeks now and today was the first day i was a little uncomfortable but I am attributing that to the nasty cold I have.

thanks!

ps i only work 8-2:30

Re: When did you get really uncomfortable?

I worked until 34 weeks. I commute into Brooklyn every day on the LIRR and it was hard near the end. However, I probably would have continued working but Baby A (Georgie's) fluid was decreasing so my dr recommended that I stop commuting. Just take it day by day. You'll know when you need to stop.

I worked till 34 weeks too. My dr recommended stopping 34-36 wks. I asked to stop at 34 because I was commuting a 1hr 20 min each way and was exhausted. I agree with pp that you will know when.

Re: When did you get really uncomfortable?

I worked mostly from home from 27-34 weeks and stopped after that. I would say I got uncomfortable around 32 weeks.

Re: When did you get really uncomfortable?

I felt GREAT until 34 weeks when I started having preterm contractions. Then I started swelling and it was all downhill. So around 34.5 weeks.

I workd at work until 34 weeks and from home a few hours a week until I delivered at 36w6d.

Thanks girls! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't totally unreasonable to hope to make it to xmass (which will be 31 weeks) providing all is going well.

I stopped working at 30 weeks, only because it was my employers policy- I was also getting paid, but I honestly never felt uncomfortable, I delivered at 37 w 2days- vaginal too!

Re: When did you get really uncomfortable?

Around 30 weeks, but I worked to as late as I could....33 weeks. I literally had so much pressure down there I could not work and stayed home the last 3 weeks. Could barely walk and standing up was excruitiating. I made it to 36 weeks. I literally did nothing socially after 30 weeks but went to one wedding at 33 weeks. It was miserable.
