When did YOU let your kids eat peanuts?

The pediatrition said I can give him peanuts, but I am very nervous.

When did y'all start nuts? Did anyone's DC have a reaction?

DD is 20 mths and hasnt had them yet

I got the okay at 1 year appt. DD is 22 months old and still hasn't had anything nut related yet. Plus with she has bad eczema.

I don't plan on it until they are both 3. (I have a deathly allergy to pine nuts)

I just started DD about a month ago.

She is 21 months

I just gave Gilly a snickers for valentines and she was perfectly fine

at a year old. no problems and it's probably one of their favorite things to eat.

DS is almost 19 months old and I have not given him peanuts yet.

26 months and still no nuts.

A little after 12 months. I don't remember but she's been eating PB&J for a while now.

I will admit DD had a RAST test for food allergies and I KNEW she didn't have any nut allergies. So needless to say I wasn't as worried.

2 yrs here and we have not given it to DD. Her blood came back elevated for allergy therefore no peanuts for a while.

We gave Ryan peanut butter at 18 months. He had already had allergy testing that said he was not allergic to peanuts. Well, the blood test results were wrong and he IS allergic.

Well... Cailen had this peanut butter snack at a Superbowl party and was totally fine....

I gave Jordana a bite of my PBJ sandwhich once. Other than that, no peanuts for DD who will be 2 next month

before a year it was an accident as usual i wasnt paying attention and made them a pp&j sandwich.. but younger if you count the times they stole and ate the rocher's

Close to 2. He didn't eat peanut butter until last month (so 26 mos). The peanut butter I waited b/c the ped told me to wait since it's a choking hazard.

DD will be 2 in May and had been eating Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches since about 18 months. The ped. said it was ok, she had a test at the allergist which came back negative for peanut allergy.

About 14 months she started having peanut butter

At about 14 months I gave DD a little peanut butter. She was fine. Once in a while, I put some on a banana for her....she loves it!

I gave it to Ava at 23 months. She had a severe reaction immediately. She now has to stay away from all products that contain peanut/tree nuts, and we have to carry an Epi-pen at all times. She also has eczema. Food allergies and eczema or asthma can be linked.

I tried a million times starting at I think 3, he didnt like it but I thought he had eaten some. At almost 5 we found out he has a severe allergy

Ds has eczema, but he has had nuts/nut products before. He ate pesto sauce all summer at MIL and I never even realized that she used pine nuts in her recipe because I don't use it in mine. Dh gave him biscotti a couple of weeks ago that had pistachios. We saw the Dr. last week and he said to wait until 2 for peanut butter, but I'm pretty sure we'll be starting it soon anyway.
