I switched DS to the big tub at 3 months. I could not stand the baby tub. We use this foam teddybear that they sell in BRU. I have replaced it a couple of times, but it is really great.

We moved DD's baths from the sink and into the bath tub at about 9 or 10 months, she was splashing so much we had to.
She is a little fish (thanks to saf-t-swim) and flip flops, lurches, lays down, rolls, reaches and splashes all over the place. I was nervous about her hurting herself banging into the side of the tub so we got an inflatable tub to put inside the big tub at BRU. She loves it.
