I think we did around 5/6 months... when she was able to sit up on her own.

we tried it with DS 2 weeks ago at 6.5 months and he fit in it fine, but he didn't really love it so we'll probably wait a few weeks and try again.
ETA: DS has been sitting up unassiisted since 5 months.

as soon as they sat up on their own! and we used one of those protectors not only for sanitary but it was cushion-y for all the poss jiggling around!

same... if he was wobbly, i'd stuff a receiving blanket on either side of him. He LOVED it!

Ok, DS is 4.5 months and I'm thinking with blankets he should be fine; not great, but I'm thinking good enough for quick trips.

When she was able to sit up on her own-around 8 months for DD to be really steady.
DS is 6 months and almost there.

July 4th weekend we were upstate and we figured we'd just try to put her in it cause she was sitting up on her own. She was just over 5 months.
