When did you stop lovenox and/or baby aspirin?
Just curious everyone else's experience......I am going to be induced at 37.5 weeks.......when we're you told to stop these?
I was told to get off the lovenox 24 or 48 hours before and baby aspirin at 35.5 weeks......both will be started back up after delivery
I want to see what everyone else was told. I still need to confirm with my hematologist this was my obgyn

My neuro said some ob's won't take you off and some will. It depends on their comfort level and why is best for you

I also heard they change to heprin towards the end too sometimes. But Im not sure. I'm 31 weeks with twins and will have a cs at 38 weeks if I make it that long which I most likely won't. They haven't mentioned anything about switching to me yet.

When did you stop lovenox and/or baby aspirin?
* Crashing just to say that due to a clotting disorder I will have to be on lovenox when I am pregnant. My hematologist just told me recently that I would be on lovenox for my entire pregnancy when that time comes. He said I would be on heparin the last 4 weeks. The reasoning because the heparin is out of your system faster than the lovenox and you can't have an epidural within 24 hours of lovenox. I'm sure everyone's protocol is different though.. His own nurse practitioner told me the other day I wouldn't need to be on lovenox again unless I got another DVT; but he has me taking it for a long plane ride!

they told me they will discuss this with me when i am closer to my c/s date
they also do not want me to switch to heprin so will just monitor me on lovenox and the asprin
i think they r worried bc i am on a high dose,200 mg and my body is working okay with it they do not want me to get any more clots
i will also be on till 6 weeks after delivery and then go on coumadin

When did you stop lovenox and/or baby aspirin?
I switched to heparin at 36 weeks. Heparin can delay the epi. I had my last dose at 11 pm and water broke at 1230. At the hospital they gave me something to counteract the heparin but was not allowed the epi until 6am.
I was on lovenox after until may (has DS in dec) then in was on baby aspirin until aug.

I think I stopped the baby aspirin at 37 weeks. I never switched to Heparin. My last dose of Lovenox was on a Thursday and I had DD via c/s that Sunday.

I am not preggo yet but just like with my last dd I will be on lovenox for the first 34 weeks then switch to heparin until delivery then back on lovenox after. During my IVF cycle I will be on baby aspirin.

stopped lovenox at 36 weeks and went on Heparin (still took baby asparin).
As soon as DS was born, I went back on Lovenox for 2 weeks.

Stop baby asparin at 35 weeks. Stop lovenox 24 hrs before induction. Restart 24 hours after delivery and continue for 6 week post.

I used it up to 35 weeks and then on Heparin 2x day up to the day before scheduled induction. Once i delivered the lovenox started again for 6 weeks

My lovenox psa....if you develop complications (ie pre eclampsia) make sure you discuss it earlier with your doctor. My doctor "forgot" to tell me not to take my lovenox when he knew he was going to deliver me (he didn't tell me) and I had to go under general anesthesia.
So just stay on top of them!

when i was in the hospital on bedrest at 32w i was switched to heparin in case of delivery. i ended up having to have an emergency c-section. i cant remember if i was given heparin that day, i dont think i was because the decision to deliver was fairly early in the morning. in the future i would be wary of switching to heparin. i was in the hospital for pre-eclampsia and based on a bunch of studies i read i think the heparin may have contributed to the pre-e escalating to HELLP which ultimately led to my 33w delivery. also as the above poster mentioned, i also had to be under general anesthesia, but it was more because my platelets were very low at that point and they cant give epis or spinals with low platelets.
i started lovenox again once i was released from the hospital and remained on it until 6w post partum.
