We told them within a few days and told them it was VERY early and that things could happen at this early stage.

I did not want to hide it from my mom. I would have felt funny hiding it from her for 3 months. And if something had happened, I would have wanted her support.

We waited until 12/13 weeks both times. That's just how we are and it works for us.

I was surprised that I kept it in that long this time since I was a t a family party and my cousin just had her second and I had a ton of questions for her! I also needed my parents to babysit for all the appointments I had - So I just told them I was having a lot of dental work...LOL

We told our immediate family only at 8 weeks - we would've waited longer but we told them at 8 weeks because we were going to stay with them for a couple of days and we figured they would notice my morning sickness.

We told our friends and extended family after the 12 week checkup.

With DS#1 we told everyone @ 10 weeks.

With DS# 2 we told everyone @ 8 weeks (because we HAD to)

This one, we told NO ONE until 16 weeks. We were enjoying having a secret for once

We told my mom the day after my BFP. We told my dad a few days later over dinner (since we already had plans..) and we told my inlaws the following weekend at our usual Sunday visit.

ETA: That was at about 5 weeks.
