when did you transition to a toddler bed? are there any tiny beds that are the size of cribs?

I know the question sounds insane, but he really likes beds, cribs not so much.

I don't have room for a twin sized bed...what I'd love is our crib without walls! does that exist???

Toddler beds are the same size as a crib and they are super cheap. I transitioned Teddy at 23 months but if Luce would sleep there let him.

Toddler beds generally take crib mattresses. Abby's does.

At 3... although we transitioned to a twin so we wouldn't have to buy 2 beds. It was great, except when she realized she could get out of bed and come to us at any time during the night, which DH taught her out of sheer laziness

I know that Ikea sells toddler beds that have the same mattress size as a crib.

Last January, after Elizabeth took a flying leap out of her crib, we converted it to the toddler bed.

She slept in it 1 night. The second night she got out of bed 5 times in a half hour and I made DH go switch it back. She was sick at the time and I needed her to sleep...

We switched it back again about 2 months later and had no issues. She was 26 months I guess.

I know I have a way to go before I have to think about switching Luke, but I'm already dreading it because it's so hard to KEEP them in bed after... so before you go buy a toddler bed (they are super cheap) just be sure. But you will be able to use the same mattress and sheets..

Almost all toddler beds are the same size as a crib. We transitioned B to the toddler bed when he was 2. He now has free reign to climb into MY bed

Does your crib convert? You can take off the front part!

If not, go to BBB - they have cute toddler beds for about 100 bucks. They take the crib mattresses.

We transitioned DD#1 to a toddler bed a few weeks before her 2nd birthday. It uses the crib mattress and was low to the ground so she could get in and out. She had no problems.

Our crib turns into a toddler bed, then into a junior bed, we wanted this because his room is small and I'm not sure a twin bed would work well and give him space to play, we're hoping jr. bed lasts till hes 5 or 6.

It was $$$, but it was a gift from parents, its very nice and we love it.



Its probably not what you are asking for, but if this exists, I think there should be other options out there. Its a swedish bed, more reason for Ikea to copy it.

We switched DD to a toddler bed at around 2.5. We were moving and needed the crib for the new baby coming, so we bought her a toddler bed. We bought the princess character one....has sides on it and comes in lots of different characters. DD adjusted great to it!!

my crib from ikea converts into a bed (you just take off the top) and i know they have a toddler bed which starts off the size of the crib and then can extend out into a longer bed.

takes a regular crib mattress...she loves it!

Aidan was almost 2 when we transitioned him. We had the Step 2 Fire Truck Bed



he LOOOOOOOOOVED it. It was like a new toy and he transitioned VERY EASILY

I have the same problem. My answer will be IKEA. They have the friggen cutest toddler bed. They even have one that is wide like a queen size that is adorable. But, they have ones with drawers underneath. So cute.
