when did you wean your DC off the bottle and which cup did you use?
My dd will be 8 months on the 22nd and I 'd like to wean her off the bottle soon, which cup is the best to start with ?

Ella was off bottles by her 1st birthday. The only sippy cup she would take at first was the Born Free one. After getting used to that one, she'd use them all.

DS was 17 months and I used the Nuby straw cup.

Both my kids were bottle free by 1 year. They started with the soft spout Nuby sippy's first, and basically once they learned how to use the sippy, any sippy worked for them.

I used the nuby straw cups. I took her for the 1 year appointment at the doctor and she told us to start whole milk. So, for breakfast she had a bottle with formula, for lunch she had a sippy cup with milk...and that was the last of both the forumla and the bottle!

We went straight to straw cups. DS would never take to the sippy cups, and DD started stealing DS's straw cups as soon as she could crawl over to them. 
I figured, they will use straws for the rest of their lives, so why teach them sippy cups just to try and teach them straws eventually anyway.

dd was weaned at 1 year, she uses the playtex hard spout sippy cups

I think I may try the straw cups - DD will be 1 later this month and hasnt been doing too well with the sippy cups.

DS was 13 months old when he was off the bottle and we used the Playtex sippy cups.

Same here...DS understands to put it in his mouth but he plays with it more than anything. I just got him the nuby straw one and I also started letting him drink from my water bottle with a straw...I squeeze the water once I see him put his mouth on the whole straw...trying to get him to associate the two so he takes better to the nuby.
