When did your DC start crawling and/or walking??
DS is 31/2 monhts old and is already starting to crawl. He was able ot rollover from back to tummy and from tummy to back about a month a go and now when he rools over onto this tummy he is starting to push himself forward withthis legs. Is this too soon? Does that mean he will be walking earlier than 12 months??

Re: When did your DC start crawling and/or walking??
my older one began at exactly 5 months - which I think is on the early side. by 6 months he was pulling himself up. 7 - cruising - 8 months he stood without holding on - 9 - walking
he rolled over at 3 months

DH & noticed him trying to crawl this weekend, but I thought maybe it was all in our heads, but I just spoke to ur nanny and she told me the same thing. It was so nice that she was so excited about it too!

Re: When did your DC start crawling and/or walking??
My 7 mo old started crawling about 2wks ago but it's like the army crawl but hey he gets around everywhere and personally I don't see him ever going the regular way. But my middle child started to crawl about 7 mos and didn't walk until a wk or two after his first b-day and my oldest crawled about 5mos and walked the wk of his 1st b-day.

Re: When did your DC start crawling and/or walking??
DD was late to roll over- first time was at 4 months and then she didn't do it consistently until at 5 months. But she started crawling at 7 months, now crusing at 8 months and trying to stand up on her own without hold on this week and she will be nine months next week.
So I don't know if early rolling over and crawling means they will walk early since DD seemed to be behind and now she is ahead. I think its hard to predict.

Re: When did your DC start crawling and/or walking??
Isn't there some theory that really good crawlers become late walkers, or something like that?
Its so hard to predict what they will do...I thought DD would never learn the hands and knees crawl. She did the army crawl for over 2 months, starting just before 8 months and was standing and walking along the furniture, then suddenly she was racing around the house on her knees..I thought she would be an early walker and never a good crawler, but I was proven wrong...11 months and she hasn't let go yet. You never know!
I would get the babyproofing done though, if you haven't already

YEs we are definitely doing the baby proofing because you never know, he likes to reach for things alot now, so all the outlets have to be babyproof, ans we also have a brick fireplace that scares me because I think he could hit his head on it. I know I am being overprotective but I can't help it.
BTW- what is the army crawl??

I think the army crawl is when they pull themselves with their arms.
