When do you stop putting babies in a swing?

My mom will be watching DS once I go back to work when he is 4 months old. I'm trying to decide if we should get a swing for grandmom's house.

I was wondering a similar thing. Is their a weight limit? DD is only 10 lbs... but wondering how long she can stay in it...that's where she takes her naps.

there is a weight limit & height limit on swings, so you can technically use them until LO reaches 1 or the other....

my friend managed to get 12 months out of the swing where i got 6 months.

DS was a heavy kid so the swing was struggling to swing. It lasted until 7 months.

I used it almost up to 1 year with #1. It's been awhile so i don't remember exactly. With ds # maybe 6 months. Definitely worth getting. See if you can get one second hand. hiss way your not spending $$$$$.

Kaydyn never used a swing, but friends of ours kept their son in a swing until about 8 months and then he was happier being in an exersaucer or jumperoo.
