When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
Like music classes and all that kind of stuff.
Is like 10 weeks-ish too young?

I think 10 weeks is too young for music.
I took an infant massage class when Jack as about 6 weeks old.
I also took this horrib baby class at Adelphi with other LIF moms - I believe the kids were about 4 months old at the time.
Both of those classes were def. more for me (getting out and socializing with other moms) than for Jack.
We started Music Together when Jack was 6 months and I think it was ok - although he started to get it more towards the end when he was getting older.
We also started Gymboree at 6 months. That was more appropriate for his age.
ETA: You can always do trial classes to see what you think!
ETA Again: I should also clarify - it's def. not a waste if you go, but I don't think at that age she will get much from it!

We did a Gymboree class at around 4 months and I thought it was a waste.

Reilly and I went to a mommy's group thru Good Sam hospital starting at 4 weeks. She started taking swimming lessons at 12 weeks, we have a church mommy's group since she was 10 weeks and have been going to our library's classes since 12 weeks. I don't think 10 weeks is too young. Have fun!

10 weeks is definitely not too young! DS is 4 months and I'm excited to start getting out and joining things now that we have more of a routine going with DS.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
I started Music Together with Ryan a little after 6 months.
I waited because some people told me before than he would have been too young. I disagree. I don't think it is ever too young to start Music.
Active mommy and me type things I am waiting until he is at least a year. At 9 months I still don't think he is ready for "My Gym" or "Gymboree" etc.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
It depends on the class. I took a class at My Gym with DD when she was 6 weeks...it was pretty pointless and I didn't meet any other Moms I liked. I took another class here in NJ when DD was 6 months and it was a great time for both DD and I. Now that DD is 21 months she is really getting a lot out of the classes we are in.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
I did mommy and me yoga starting at 6 weeks and then did a music together type class (in westchester it is called musical munchkins) at 6 months. She definitely benefitted at that age as she sat up on supportive for the first time at her first class because she was so focused on the teacher. She probably would have a little earlier too. At less than 3 months, while I think all babies would benefit from the class, I don't know that you will be able to really see how they are benefitting as they are less able to participate. KWIM? Some babies, I imagine, would get really active during class, which would show the benefit but others may not (and that may be less satisfying for you or not). Maybe go for a trial class to see what you think.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
We started Music Together, Gymboree, and Baby Salsa at 3 months. We've kept up with all of them and she loves them!!
And the same awful class at Adelphi that Diana mentioned -- not sure who it was supposed to be for but none of us got anything out of it!!

Brynne and I just finished our first Music Together class and it was great. 10 weeks is not too young at all. It will get you out and the babies just love it! Go for it!!

At 2 months old he started Music Together. I highly recommend it. It was great for me to have something structured to do with him and at 22 months he still loves it

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
I did the aforementioned Adelphi Class
I also joined a mom group at my library when he was 10 weeks old. He slpet, but there were kids/babies of all ages so it was a nice idea.
Did Gymboree at 6 months and loved it. Music at 10 months or so and he got a lot out of it.
Check your library to see what's there, usually it's free.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
i went to a program at my library when DS was around 5-6 months old (they did story time, singing, etc) and we now do music together. Most of the kids in my class are 6 months and up but their are a few who I see in the class before mine who have babies a couple months old or have an older kid and a new baby
