Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
Definitely not too young!!:) We started at 11 weeks at a mommy & me that did circle time and then each week there was a mommy question and answer time. It was great to see how much my ds would remember as the weeks went by! I was so happy to get out of the house and be with other moms who were also exhausted!!

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
I took DD to a trial class at the little gym when she was about 5 months. I think she was too young to do anything.
But I signed her up for the summer session, she was about 8.5 months and she loved it. We still go and she is the "mayor" of her class.

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
Our library has a class for babies 0-17 months. I think music together is great for any age. I wish I started my son earlier.

We started DD in Music Together at 9 1/2 months. She is still in it and loves it!

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
If I were a SAHM, Id have had Abby in classes as soon as I could. Weekends are fine too but I felt that Abby deserved to spend time with both of her parents on the weekend. This summer, I will not be working and I look forward to participating in classes with Abby during the week. Odds are I will also enroll in weekend classes during football season - it's not like I am going to see DH anyway

Re: When do you start taking classes and stuff with your infant?
I did a new moms group from Good Sam. at 4 wks and now swimming lessons at 6 months and story hour at the library. For the Moms who thought Gymboree was a waste, do you mind me asking why? I used to work there a few years back and thought about returning for a class. What made the other programs better? Now that it's Spring I want to try a few other classes. Does anyone have any Baby Yoga info?

ETA: You can always do trial classes to see what you think!
ETA Again: I should also clarify - it's def. not a waste if you go, but I don't think at that age she will get much from it!
HTH
I agree...we waited until a year to do most of the classes because I felt DS was too young to really gain anything from it.
I would look into the library. They have a free story time and I know our library has a few branches so they have them a few times a month.
I did a trial class at gymboree and didnt like it as I felt it wasnt active enough for DS but I think it would have been great a few months ago.
We do tot music (music together program) and he loves it there is a child about 7 months in the class who "participates" but the infant maybe 12 weeks stopped coming as she just slept through the whole class.
What area are you located in?
ETA: A friend does a mommy and me at CFA in smithtown for ages 0-6 m onths
