When do you start your spring yard work?

We have a long list of things to do this summer and want to start it as soon as possible.

We want to put down mulch and black dirt in some areas...I'm guessing we can start this now.

We want to relocate some plants and add new ones. We have to wait for them to start coming up and for the weather to get warmer for this, right?

ETA: And putting grass seed down on the front lawn. When can we do that?

first day of spring I start cleanup ( I like doing it better than my landscaper), moving plants I wait till temp is above 45 at night, grass seed not sure landscaper does that, I do know he fertilizes pretty early too.
