When does a toddler's sleep schedule change?
DS has been sleeping 6:30pm-6:30am since he's 5 months. he's now 17 months. it's perfect cause i have to get him ready for daycare in the morning.
but if we have plans on the weekend or want to go to dinner at night, we have to work around it. people keep telling me, "don't worry, he'll stay up later when he's older".
but is that true? i'm still going to need him to wake up at 6:30am for daycare.

Lauren bedtime hasnt changed yet, she goes to bed between 8-9pm every night and is up at 6am every morning, she is 20 months. Her naps have though, she has recently started having just one long nap in stead of two little ones in the morning and afternoon.

actually, Mason used to go to sleep at 7:30AM and then he changed it to 7AM. Just gets tired earlier. All this running around and playing all day
BTW - he's almost 22 months
In at 7PM and usually up between 6 - 6:30AM. Closer to 6AM on daycare days so we can get out of the house by 6:45
Usually every day around 6:15ish he starts yawning and rubbing his eyes.
If we do make plans to go out to dinner we always ask to go on the earlier side... around 6AM. This way we're not leaving when he's getting tired. He'll be ok staying up later if there's stimulation... other kids, coloring, watching a movie, or just playing with everyone.
Although, if he does stay up later b/c we go out he still gets up at 6AM
