When is bedtime?

How old is your child(ren) and when is bedtime? What time do they wake in the AM?

ETA: I'm asking here and not on parenting cause I want to know for kids in school, not babies.

Re: When is bedtime?

DS is 6: bedtime is at 7:30, he wakes up at 7am. Sometimes the latest may be 8:30 if he has karate. That's when DH is handling bedtime because I'm at work, lol.

My DD is 6, she's in first grade. In bed at 8pm (she falls asleep right away) and she's up at 7:30 for school........I have to wake her up though. She'd sleep later if it wasn't for school.

My DS is almost 2, obviously not in school, but he sleeps from 7pm to 7:30am.

On school nights, my DS (who is 6) goes to bed at 8 pm. On weekends, special occasions, etc, we are more flexible and he often stays up later.

Eta - on school days he has to be up by 7:15. I have to wake him most days. On weekends, he sometimes sleeps until 8-8:30.

Re: When is bedtime?

Bed at 7:30pm, up by 7:00am (when older dd has soccer, she doesn't finish until 8 so it's later those days)

Dds are 7, 6, 1.5

Re: When is bedtime?

School nights we aim to have both my almost 5 year old and 8 year old in bed at 8:00- realistically it ends up being a little closer to 8:30. My older DS gets woken at 6:45, the younger one gets up on his own usually by 7:00-7:15. The weekend they go to bed closer to 8:30-9:00. They get up on their own anywhere from 7:00-8:30. It's a mixed bag.

Re: When is bedtime?

My boys are almost 6, and almost 4.

My older son in K is on a consistent schedule for school - so before care drop off at 6:50 am - I get him out of bed about 6:20 - and have him in bed for the night at 8:30 - lights OFF at 9:00

My younger one has the same schedule Weds - Fri. But Mon and Tues my parents watch him so he wakes up on his own, around 7:00 am

DH and I both work FT in the city, my kids have always had a 9pm bedtime.

Re: When is bedtime?

DD 6.5 in first grade, DS 3.5 nursery. Both have the same bedtime just bc it's easier that way. In bed by 8, both are usually asleep in 15 minutes. Both wake up on their own between 6:45 and 7:30. DS usually naps for 1.5 hour in the afternoon.
