Glad to see I am not the only one. I thought it was a selfish feeling but like others mentioned it comes especially from the IL's who frankly I dont care for. I think they say it to irritate me.

Paulette I hear this all the time! DD looks nothing like me. I always get "well she's certainly not the mailman's baby" or "all you did was carry and deliver DD" It doesn't really bother me she's a cutie.
So what do you think...does she look like DH?

We get this often - Wow he looks so much like his Daddy! - the funny thing is our son is adopted! I usually just smile and say yes he does.

Everyone says Liam looks like DH.
I don't see it. Seriously. I don't. Look at my avatar and at my pictures in the albulm section. Do you see it? I think he looks like my sister.
But even yesterday at a birthday party for a friend's daughter, all my friends said "he looks just like DH!" and other people say it too. Sometimes people say he looks like me. I think he did when he was born but now...more just like himself and has my sisters nose, if anything.

I think this is a perfect response! Seriously though, don't even pay any attention to it. Their faces will change so much that there's no way to tell at this point who she really looks like. You could also respond with "well she looks like me when I was a baby", or my personal favorite "at least we know she's his..." 
p/s - at least they're comparing her to your DH -- my ILs keep comparing my DD to DH's sister who passed away at 2 years old!

On the other side of the fence, everyone tells me how DS looks JUST like me. I really don't see it, but that's what they say.
My mom always says how he looks like me when I was a baby, then she'll go on about how he looks like everyone in the family. Then I'll say "well, I guess he looks nothing like Mike" and she realizes what she's doing. I've had to do that about 3 times now. I feel so bad for DH that he has to hear that constantly.
IMO, DS is a beautiful combination of me AND DH.

DD is the spitting image of DH. The only thing she has of mine is my eye shape and my super sensitive skin (poor kid).
This doesn't bother me at all. I love DH and the way he looks, so why should it upset me that she looks so much like the man I love?  She is just so damn cute, it really doesn't bother me at all.

Some say DD looks like DH and some say she looks like me...but they all feel very strongly about it either way. No one says its a combo...its either all me or all him. Weird.
But I heard an old wives tale that says all babies look like their fathers when they are born...1st it tells them that it is really their child and 2nd it gives them a bond which will keep them from skipping town during those very hard few months in the beginning.

Alex has my eyes but her face and her facial expressions look just like DH. People tell us all the time, but it doesn't bother me at all..

My son looks just like my husband. I doesn't bother me because I think my son is the cutest thing I have ever seen and I know that some of my genes had something to do with it!
It is funny because I was taking my son and Aliaspook's daughter to school on Friday for the first time. Everyone was asking if they were twins and I kept telling everyone that they were cousins and 3 weeks apart. The four moms that I spoke to thought my niece was mine and not my son. He really doesn't look like me!
