when you feed your baby pasta...?
do you feed them with a spoon or let them use their hands? i ask b/c ds doesn't want it off a spoon but he can't pick the tiny slippery suckers up on his own.

DS is not a fan of pasta....the other day I did give him some penne with a little butter and he ate a little. DS likes finger foods mostly so I just put it on his high chair tray and let him pick.

She always ate with her hands or I would put it on a fork and she would eat it that way...

When they were still LITTLE I would spoon feed them pastina.
As they got older I would let them make a mess with bigger pasta. They enjoyed it and I didn't mind cleaning up after them. I would give them a few spoonfuls to make sure that they actually had SOMETHING to eat - and that was that!
What shape are the noodles that you give him? If you slice Ziti into little bite size pieces it is easier for them to manipulate with their hands than stringy stuff like spaghetti.

it's thid egg free pasta and it is the shape and size of rice.

When he was younger I just let him use his hands. Now I put a piece on a fork and let him feed himself.

DS always double fists pasta! 
Now he trys to fork or spoon it into his mouth. If that is too slow for him he goes back to double fisting!

I've been feeding DS with a spoon and he's been doing well. I cut them into such tiny pieces, he couldn't pick them up if he wanted to. I really should start to cut them into bigger pieces and let him self-feed.
Pasta shaped like rice though, I would definitely feed with a spoon.

I did pastina wiht me feeding and now the ditalini that she can finger feed herself. She loves it!
