Where are my Nikon D40 Mommies?
Do you find that it's better for clarity if you zoom and crop with the cameras edit functions....or with a seperate program on your computer?

I usually either use photoshop elements or the editor in snapfish.

It depends on how much I have to zoom. Either way, the picture loses some of it's quality. If you use the camera function, then it gets grainy when you put it on the computer.

Personally, I think it's better to do on your computer than in camera. You can see the photo better.
I don't have a D40. I have a D70.

i just bought the D60 and the man at the camera store said to always do it on the computer. it saves battery life and you'll be better able to see if the photo is clear when you blow it up

I rarely crop since I'm addicted to my 55-100 lens, but if I do, I use the Nikon program on the computer.
