where are you getting the "stork sign" to put in your front yard
i see them all over in stores but none near my house. anyone know where to find really cute ones? i want to rent it, not buy it. especially SW nassau.
also, any idea on cost? i want to figure this out before DS comes so DH can get it while i'm in the hospital. i'm so looking forward to it!! 
ETA: i am not looking for opinions on whether to do it or not. i AM doing it! it's not even a question. i just want to know where to get one.

Did you read that story about the baby that was abducted (but later returned) by a crazy lady who saw the sign/stork in the yard? Does that worry you at all?

This might be too far, but there is a florist on Broadway in Massapequa (about 2 or 3 blocks north of Sunrise Highway) that rents them.....

I would think any type of decoration would apply to this, no?? So balloons, signs etc, not just storks. I don't get the people who avoid storks but still put balloons and signs up

not at all. honestly, i don't live my life scared of everything. and really, if some crazy lady comes to take my baby, she obviously has no idea how crazy i am and would have a run for her money. ask goldi, she'll tell you.

I agree! A wacko can see a swing set in someone's back yard too! There are so many other things that people can see infront of someones house to tell them kids live there!

PS..
I don't buy the "stork sign/baby abduction" thing. They are everywhere around where I live, I love seeing them and as far as I know there are no abduction problems here!
