For DD, I went to BRU. We are going to buy DD a new set of furniture and use her set for DS. DD is already in a full size bed so it didn't make sense to us to buy another crib set when we could use hers for the baby and get her a new set.

Where did you buy your nursery furniture?
Stupid question - everyone that did bbb or bru, etc, you had to put everything together yourself right?
We are Jewish so we don't get the furniture (delivers) until the baby is born. I think it would be tok stressful to bring the baby home and then have to have dh first out everything together.

yes we had to put it together. I'm Jewish too (but not as good a Jew ). I know people who waited until the baby was born and had people go to the house and set everything up while they were in the hospital.

Haha. I guess dh could do it while I'm still in the hospital. He has to come back to stay with dd anyway. I'm sure my dad and his dad would love to participate in that too lol

BRU offers assembly service for an additional $25 when you are already paying for delivery. SO worth it!!

BBB offers assembly, Because DS arrived early, nothing had been delivered yet, but the first week or so he slept in the pack-n-play on the first floor with me after my c-section. We had planned on keeping him in our room longer in the pack-n-play but when I was able to sleep upstairs, we decided to try him in the crib in his room (it's a dormered cape, so it's practically like we're in the same room when doors are open) and he took to it right away. Unless you are planning on putting the baby in the crib right away, you have some time after baby arrives home!

Buy Buy Baby. Westwood. The dresser comes assembled and I paid extra, I think $25, to have them put the crib together. I think it was $100 for delivery and set up. I'm happy with it. You can use 20% coupons too.

Re: Where did you buy your nursery furniture?
I found some nice sets on Costco.com and at JC Penney Home Store - very reasonable too.
I also found some nice stuff online.
I ended up buying it at BRU only because I had coupons, gift cards, etc. that made it so I literally paid like $67 total for a dresser, a crib, and shelving. I mean, it was ridiculous. So, I had to go with the cheapest route.
The set I had found online that I loved - turns out they sold it at BRU so that worked out well… didn't have to sacrifice what I loved for price!
I did the open a credit card at BRU and save 20% off -- plus a few other specials and then paid with all my GC's from my shower. GODSEND!

Re: Where did you buy your nursery furniture?
Behrs assembles for you, no extra charge. I'm Jewish too , we ordered the furniture and they held it until after the baby was born and then delivered it and set it up. Dd was in rock n play for months so I didn't need it right away anyway although they delivered it a week after I got home from hospital.

We did the same with Bellini. Orders it after my anatomy scan. Called from the hospital when dd was born and set up delivery. It was delivered the day after we got home from the hospital and they set it all up.

Re: Where did you buy your nursery furniture?
I got a really nice set at Buy buy baby. It was free delivery and it came assembled, except for the crib. I don't remember paying for the assembly of the furniture but we are going back almost 4 years now. I plan on going back there again because the furniture is great quality and the 20% coupon helps (although the set was still $$$)

We purchased at Behr's, it was the only place we found something we loved. It was pricey but the set will take him through at least until he goes to college.
As for delivery, they will hold it for you until you call them and set up a delivery time. The men who delivered the furniture was friendly and fast. The dresser and night table came pre-assembled but they put together the crib and attached the hutch to the dresser.

We got it from bbb. They held everything until I was in the hospital, delivered, and set up. I explained to them we are Jewish and they have a set up plan for that.

I don't blame you. I think had everything not been an emergency and 4 weeks early it would have driven me bonkers.
