Re: Where do you live and is your road plowed?
I'm in Bellmore and the roads have been plowed and are pretty clear. I work in the Five Towns and the main roads are horrible! Doesn't even look like they plowed at all.

I have to give the Town of Smithtown credit - they are fantastic when it comes to plowing. Everything was done so fast and they really keep on top of it. Their roadway dept. is awesome.

WOW! I never knew there were so many North Bellmorians! I am there too, we are pretty well plowed in the neighborhood but I was SHOCKED at how snowy Newbridge was this morning on my way to the train.
And the school buses did NOT help!!!! It took me FOREVER to get to the train station and I was cursing the whole time because I have 4 wheel drive!!!!

And the school buses did NOT help!!!! It took me FOREVER to get to the train station and I was cursing the whole time because I have 4 wheel drive!!!!
I never knew it either. Were we are in N Bellmore, not so good. I posted about this on pg. 1 of this thread. Newbridge by me was not too bad- I am on the Esat Meadow border, North of the parkway.

We saw a plow ONCE yesterday at about 9am and that's IT.
We live between Union and the LIE service road too!

Village of RVC and technically I guess it was plowed but there is still a layer of snow on most roads, including North Long Beach. Its our first snow there and I thought the roads would be clearer by this morning.

West Babylon. I have not been out on the main roads, but dh said they were okay - very icy. my complex is cleaning up the roads today in our complex. they did a decent job yesterday and doing more today, since less cars are here today.
eta: a plow from the town never came down our road - only the complex's crew and i live on a town road.

Queens (howard Beach) most of the roads, even side streets, were very clean. Of course there are some spots here and there, especially from people throwing the snow they clean from around their cars in the streets, but overall, not bad at all

I think the plows came once the whole weekend...Its horrible and I live on a pretty busy street. I couldn't believe the crap job they did this year!

East Northport, side roads are still quite messy, Main roads are totally fine (of course except Larkfield...Ive always hated that road..lol).
Its not to bad out there.

I was out this morning running errands. Roads by me are fine (north shore Nassau). The side streets are bad - some look like they haven't been plowed, but I know they have since some cars are buried. I'm luckily my road is always one of the first plowed since it's a secondary road off Rts. 25A and 106.

Holbrook...and we were constantly plowed. Guess thats one good thing about living on a busy street.
We didn't get plowed ONCE by Town of Islip. Someone did plow us but it was once or twice.
What am I paying taxes for??!!--

I just spoke to a Lindenhurst Village employee in the deli and he said many owns laid off employees so they didnt have as many people out plowing and also a bunch of the employees called in sick....

i dont know how you live over there, between the tiny roads and those hills! they didnt come plow here (coram, we also live in a court so i dont know if that makes a difference) until like 11 last night!

since we pay taxes through the nose, I would hope they are 
They did do a really good job on the roads though.

They did a horrible job in Holbrook. I took Grundy to Vets today for work and it was not done too well and no sand at all.

well i'm another North Bellmorian. off newbridge by stop and shop as well. i was shocked they plowed my court... usually we watch the plows go down newbridge and pass us by for hours upon hours. we had a plow come in and really try to clear us out. (never works, but he did try) LOL

I am North of Stop and Shop. I am so scared to go down one of the streets only one car can go at a time one way. My neighbor this afternoon was snow blowing part of it, it was that poor of a plowing we got. I am so scared at the corner by my street someone is going to get into an accident and end up on my lawn or my neighbors lawn. They did a Horrible job by me.

In Bellport, from Sunrise north to 101? Not bad at all. Station Road is pretty much perfectly plowed down past Sunrise each way, and the developments I live in have been plowed enough that some blacktop has shown after the snow melted.
I'm quite frankly surprised considering how miserable other Town of Brookhaven resident's roads are. Three plows and a police car got stuck near the house of one of my coworkers in Coram/Medford...
