Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

When I was preggo, I bought so many clothes at full price. And they weren't cheap, either.

Now I ONLY buy clothes that are on sale. So I still go to the stores that I like, but I wait until there is a sale and I have coupons.

Sorry, that's my only trick. I shop at Gymboree, Janie and Jack, Old Navy, Carters and Osh Kosh. Once in a while I find something in JCPenney's.

- Target. I always check the 30-50% rack.
- Walmart
- Khol's

You can check consignement stores too. They have clothes with tags for a fraction of the original cost.

Try to pick a store that you can go to regularly so you don't spend too much time and gas checking their sales/deals.

I tend to shop at Target, The Children's Place (TCP) and Old Navy becauce they put stuff on sale way before the season ends. TCP even lets you use those 15% or 20% off coupons they mail out.

Now that the kids are older I shop those sales to pick up clothes for the next year.

Besides all those mentioned (Macy's being my favorite), Marshalls has some great prices. Kohls too. I also shop at Once Upon a Child (consignment) - especially for holiday and one-time items.

However we take class at Gymboree and I always get suckered into buying stuff there too and then regret it cuz it always goes on sale AFTER she's worn and outgrown the item!

Kohls is great. The carters stores have the same stuff as Macy's for a lot less!

Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

Marshall's is awesome! I always find cute infant clothes there for a few bucks Target is great too. I shop at the thrift store also. It's hit or miss, but I've gotten a bunch of cute things there that I'm sure were only worn a handful of times. At daycare the other day one of the girls said they were just talking about how cute Emma's clothes were. I said you would be surprsied where I get a lot of them Chat Icon

I don't feel so guilty when she grows out of something very quickly that didn't cost me much to begin with. It's all those full price baby Gap things I bought when she was first born that I still get nauseous over Chat Icon

Khols, burlington, L&T with coupons, carters, children's place. I never buy anything full price. I try to buy ahead but that is hard. I am really good about finding good deals though on better quality stuff. I love little me - but only buy it when it is on good sales. L&T used to be good after the holidays they would have huge racks that were 50-70% then with coupons you could get some great outfits for $3-5

I recently went to Nordstrom Rack and got some really nice Asorba onesies for great prices. I went to BBB and the same ones were regular price.

Tuesday morning carries these also, and other Asorba outfits. I've seen them at Sam's also.

The outlets in Riverhead have great sales too. We were just there this week and stocked up on Lily's next size.
I LOVE The Children's Place online store...great sales! And the coupons help out too!

Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

What I did was go to the sales rack and estimate how old DS would be and shop the sale rack. I bought 24 month stuff when he was only 9 months old BUT I only paid $7 for two peice outfits from BRU, Kohl's, etc. It was weird to do but now that he can wear them - I'm so happy that I did it. I also shop at Walmart, Target, Carters has great sales.

Old Navy, Target, JCPenney, Children's Place, Carter's Stores, BRU and Steve & Barry's (just found this one out). I try not the buy anything full price and almost always use a coupon or online code. Sign up for newsletters, etc... to get coupons and heads up on special sales.

I love Daffy's. Marshalls & TJ Max have good brands too but not as much of a selection.

Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

Target, regular stores (gymboree, carters, babies r us etc...)all sale items. I buy clothes like a year in advance so everything is on sale. I used to pay full price but got smart about it. I buy from ebay too sometimes.

Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

I usually shop sales and buy thing that are only 1 size bigger than he is currently in. It's hard to judge how big he will be months down the road so I don't bother buying things in much larger sizes. Usually I find good deals at Carter's, Janie & Jack, Baby Style, and Old Navy or Gap.

Re: Where do you shop for inexpensive baby clothes

When we were desperate for newborn sizes, my mom found some great stuff at TJMaxx, very inexpensive. He is still in that size and it is hard to find, as many stores start their selection at 0-3 months.
