Re: Where do you spend your holidays? Your family or inlaws?
Thanksgiving, I cook, my parents come over. Christmas Eve, MIL comes over, we then go to dh's father's side of the family.
Christmas Day, my parents make dinner.

Thanksgiving with DH's family and Easter with mine
Christmas brunch with DH's family in Suffolk, Christmas dinner with my family at my grandma's in Queens. Christmas is way too busy and hectic, and I really wish one family celebrated on Christmas Eve instead so we could spread things out.

We alternate Thanksgiving each year. We are interfaith so it is the only holiday that overlaps luckily.

This past Sunday we did Thanksgiving with my family at my house. Tomorrow we are going to my inlaws. Christmas Eve both sides will be coming to my house, Christmas day is my parents.

Re: Where do you spend your holidays? Your family or inlaws?
we don't have a set tradition for thanksgiving. since we live relatively far from both families, we're staying here in NC this year and spending it with friends.
since dh is jewish and i am catholic, splitting christmas isn't an issue we go to new york and spend it with my family every year. we usually go to visit his family over new year's.

My in-laws. I don't have any family so it's an easy decision.

we change up thanksgiving and easter every year. one of them is with myside and one is with dh's side.
xmas eve is with dh's side, xmas day is with myside.
so i guess 50 50
Hey, I thought we were the only ones who do that, group Easter and Thanksgivng together and then Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. It works out that way bc it totals 4 holidays and it is easy to split up then.
We do Easter with my ILs, Thanksgiving with my family, Xmas Eve with my family and XMAS day with ILs

All holidays are spent with my family. IL's really dont celebrate the holidays like we do. We always invite them, they usually decline, except for Christmas.

Re: Where do you spend your holidays? Your family or inlaws?
Thanksgiving changes each year! This year I am doing it and both families are coming. Christmas Eve was always my family's holiday until I met DH. Now we stop by my moms before going to MIL. Christmas Day is always mine. Both families come here. Easter changes also. But last year we wnet to MIL and my mom came also.
