DS slept in a co-sleeper right next to my bed which was great. If you aren't swaddling, try that.

Co-sleeping with a newborn can be safe as long as you follow some basic guidelines -- no pillows or covers near the baby, place the baby next to you (not next to your husband), don't use any alcohol or drugs before going to sleep.

Kristina is in her bassinet at night....

She naps in either her PNP, or her swing, or her rocker.

Re: where does/did your newborn sleep??

We did family bed with both our sons. It doesn't work for everyone. It did work for us. And I wouldn't change a thing.

Everyone told us we would never get them into their own beds and my in laws warned us that we would be sleeping with teenagers one day.Chat Icon

It DID take longer than we anticipated to transition them to their own beds - but they have been in their own beds for almost 2 years now - since they were 4 & 2.

When she came home she slept in the bassinet until roughly 3 months old. she moved to the crib with no problem.

every now and then i bring her in bed with us, mostly its the morning when we just want a few more hours sleep. never more then that.

Re: where does/did your newborn sleep??

have you tried putting music on from a mobile or something?

Kristina doesn't like the quiet, but if i turn one of the music options on with her PNP mobile, she is soothed right to sleep....
