Where in the continental US is the last place you would ever move?
And why?
I say continental because I feel like a lot of people would say Alaska because its so far away (even though I personally would love to live there.)
Go!

I wouldn't fare well in the Bible Belt areas, I think.

Rock Springs Wyoming (again)
I already lived there HATED IT!
Edit, I have to change my answer to North Dakota, my husband was offered a position after the branch we were living was closed. If I hadn't been pregnant when that was going on we might have, but no way I was living over an hour from a hospital.

You would be surprised! Some of the most liberal people I have ever met have been in the bible belt.

I feel the same way. I don't even know why, because I don't spend all my time at the beach or anything, but I like knowing it's there. I know it's really just a psychological thing, but I feel so "stuck" when I visit the midwest. I don't think I'd enjoy living there for an extended period of time at all.

Re: Where in the continental US is the last place you would ever move?
I don't think I could live anywhere but a major city. I've lived in NYC my whole life and I don't see myself living anywhere else.
That being said, of the major cities in the U.S., I'd have to say L.A. Why? You have to drive everywhere - I'm used to the subway, the traffic, the vibe it gives off, and the low amount of annual rainfall. I love the rain and wouldn't want to live in a place where it doesn't rain often.

Any place who would think I have horns coming out of the top of my head and YES there are MANY places that think that way. Many of which are right here on LI.
ETA: Detroit was my immediate answer. It has to be one of the ugliest and desolate cities I have ever seen.

Anywhere in the tornado belt, although that sort of rules out my neighborhood since we had that tornado rip thru the city last year.

Yup, that's basically where my thoughts went as well. If there's no kosher butcher and no synagogue, I can't live there!

So basically any flyover state and FL (which I agree with!)

Kinda off topic, but my au pair recently asked us our opinion on visiting either Cleveland or Pittsburgh for a weekend excursion and we said neither.

Re: Where in the continental US is the last place you would ever move?
I don't think I'd move anywhere out west in the tornado areas and landlocked. if there are natural disastor threats, I at least need to be near the ocean to make up for it. haha. Also, if I ever get to move off LI, I don't think I would ever move back. Otherwise I am pretty open to moving anywhere and experiencing new places.

Anywhere they could have tornadoes. I like living on the coast anyway so I'd have to always be accessible to an ocean.

Re: Where in the continental US is the last place you would ever move?
The first place that popped into my head was Long Island.
No offense to the many of you that live on LI now, but I just didn't like living there.
Tulsa is a close second.
