I'm with you here. For those that don't want to go to Oklahoma, I dated a guy long term that was originally from Tulsa and he was more snobby than any guy I had met in NY. he used to say how awesome Oklahoma was. Well, he was an idiot in many ways.

I lived in South Dakota for work for 4 months back in 1999. I actually loved it there.

Hrm.. Detroit is nearly a shoe-in
But also anything desolate. My Dad lives in Iowa and man oh my is it NO WHERE! Which may explain why I’ve never visited Idaho too, ha!
I like being near a major city without having to be ‘downtown’ which is why I loved Long Island. San Antonio is the 7th largest city in America. I still won’t live downtown. I live way out on the outskirts.
But I also agree I need to be near enough to water for a day trip.
I’d not want to live in a cold snowy place. I would not want to live in a hot, hot place like AZ or NM.
Believe it or not, it is NOT that hot in San Antonio. Our average highs are only 10 degrees more than NYC in any given month. And we don’t get NEARLY as humid as NYC (ugh).
But I do appreciate that I travel a lot. I loath stereotype statements of other people’s home states, towns, etc. If you get a chance, I suggest you travel and see them at their finest. Almost everywhere in the US as something really nice to offer. Weather or not.

A friend of mine was asked about her horns when she was in college in Texas. I almost fell on the floor when she told me that story.
I'd have a hard time living in any area like that as well..

Me too. Anywhere there is mountain people with gum rot is not the place for me.
Or any slow moving states. So I"m pretty much stuck in the tri-state area.

One of my best clients is a synagogue (sp?) and they are right next to my office.
