I was trying to add pics but its not working. the one that worked is the v70. Got to the website. I think they are "cool" wagons
Checked all those - too pricey for too little power, or just over our budget altogether. I would love either one though!
The thing about the horsepower is that we're at a little over 6,000 feet here (in Colorado) so the more power, the better. Lots of hills and such. Plus engines lose power at this altitude (especially non-turbo).

While I like the look of the Saab better, based on quality and satisfaction, I'd get the Subaru.

My DH and your DH would get along very well - has the equivalent of the WRX (the Mitsu Lancer Evo MR) and he's a car fanatic too 
  that is so funny! everytime DH sees an Evo he shouts "LOOK HONEY!! now that is an awesome car" and then gives the driver a thumbs up

DH has the Suburau WRX Impreza and LOVES it. So I voted for the Suburau. The Saab may have higher safety ratings, but IMO, all wheel drive is a MUST in a wagon / SUV. My uncle has a station wagon that is front wheel drive (a $$$ volvo actually) and he has had tail spins in the winter! IMO, I would feel much safer putting my kids in the Suburau w/ the all wheel drive. Just my opinion though...
If you like the Saab better, I would definitely go for the AWD. Good luck!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Saab Wagon. When we were shopping for a baby mobile we looked at them . That and the Volvo were my picks. DH wanted a Hummer, boy does he regret getting the Hummer now!
He did like the Saab too. It drove like a sportscar, and he liked the paddle shifting since he's a big F1 Racing fan.
Saab, Saab, Saab!!!! Everyone I know who has a Saab swears by it.

Subaru - better looking - Better Build Quality - Better Mechanical - Better Reliablity - A Total package
The saab is nice - dont like the tail lights or how the roof slopes...
