which convertible car seat will fit my car?
We really need to get a convertible car seat ASAP but I can't figure out what to get. DS is 6 months and on the bigger side so I want to get one of the seats that is better for larger babies but at the same time DH and I both drive Hondas, a Civic and a CR-V, and I'm afraid the seats won't fit. Any suggestions as to which seats would be best for my big boy in our not-so-big cars?

The britax roundabout is supposed to fit in smaller cars. Although I went to BBB today and the guy told me that we needed to buy a new car because nothing would fit in DH's convertible.

I have a Civic and the Britax Marathon. I love it, it fits comfortably, and DS is huge (always off the charts for length).

What are your child's stats? I may be able to give you some ideas or direct you to where you can find people to help you. What kind of car? FF or RF?
OP, Most seats should fit RF in a Honda, don't forget you can install them more upright once they establish good head/neck control (about 4-5 months old). The 45 degree angle is only required for newborns who can't lift their heads. BRU and BBB will let you try seats in your car. Best bet is play with seats, find a couple that you like and then try them in your car.

Re: which convertible car seat will fit my car?
Both DH and I have a CR-V. I have 2 convertibles in my car - 1 recaro and the britax boulevard. I have no issues with them fitting in my car at all. Just remember that in the CR-V if you have only 1 seat - it goes behind the passenger seat.
