Who do you tip for the holidays?

And what amount? I'm a fairly new homeowner and this is our first Christmas in our house so I'm not sure what to do. This is the list I have so far:

newspaper delivery person
cleaning person
manicurist
mail lady
garbage men

I get everything to delivered to my office so I don't think fed ex or ups ever came to my house. For the manicurist, I don't have one set person I see so I'm thinking maybe just bringing a cake or cookies? Am I leaving anyone out?

i think it varies from person to person and the amount of money you can afford... for us personally we are tipping only the newspaper guy and mailman.

We tip the following:

Sanitation: $50
Mailman: $25
Newspaper: $25

Manicurist: I'm like you - I never see the same one so I normally just bring in some cookies from the bakery for all of them

But I do agree with the PP that is really needs to go by what you can afford.

Yes those people & hairdresser if you have one that u use all of the time.

My sanitation people are lucky that I haven't called to complain about them after every pick up.

I tip:
My paper guy-D&D gift card
Nail guy-double my service
dry cleaners (usually with goodies, not money but I love them)
Cleaning lady-$50
