Who else's child has a terrible cough?
My kids can't seem to get rid of their coughs. They've had it for 2 weeks now. I feel so bad for them, it's a painful sounding hacking cough.
How are your kiddos & what helps them feel better? Honey works but just for that moment but most of the time, I can't even get my younger one to take it.

My DS always has a cough....it there until his nose completely dries up.

my DD has had this on again off again cough since September! Its driving me nuts. I finally gave in and took her to the dr for it but like I thought its most likely allergies and to just keep giving her Clairton (actually they told me to switch to zrytec so i'm going to try that now)
Its always worse at night to ughh I hate the change of season for this reason!
If anyone has any other remedies I am all ears. lol My DD is 3.

He's used to it. Post nasal drip thanks to his dads horrible sinuses....he inherited the bad part of his dad!!!!

It really only happens at night and it's so phlegmy.
We're going on week 3 here.

Started off as a bad cough for 2 weeks and a cold for 2 weeks. She's officially had this for 4 weeks. A week ago dr said all clear. Praying it goes away soon.

A lot of it is allergy related. As soon as my son started with some congestion, I got him back on his allergy meds. Nipped the nasty cough in the butt before it got going..

My daughter had a cough last week. As soon as it started, I gave her raw honey with lemon twice a day. I also stopped giving her any dairy or foods with refined sugar. It went away by day 5. I do have to start this at the first sign of a cough otherwise like you, it will go on for weeks.

I was just going to post a similar question but saw your post. My 21 month old DD had a cold a couple of weeks ago and now she has a cough for about a week. She doesn't have any other symptoms and is acting normal. I guess it's just something going around since a lot of our children have it. How do I know if I need to take her to the dr?

YESSSSS!!
DS has had a cold with a cough for almost 2 weeks now! The poor kid is raw under his nose from all the boogies and wiping.
No fun.

yes, dd has a barking cough that wont go away. sometimes its every few mins and she has to be treated with medicine but now she just has it every once and a while during the day. dr said for her to take allegra
