Who got pregnant right after they stopped BFIng?

Im going to stop BFing next month when DS is 6 months and 2 girls at work both got pregnant the next month after they stopped.

I want to wait till DS is at least a year to get PG (although DH would prefer otherwise) but BFing has become very stressful and in May we have tons of board meeting that would mess up my pumping schedule ( i know thats not a reason to stop but my job is what pays the bills... and i have stopped beating myself up and im proud of making it to 6 months)

BUT i am not ready to get PG again .

I did! I was exclusively pumping and got PG as soon as I weaned. I had no idea I was PG until my OB told me

I simply came in for an annual check-up and to find out when I'd get my first PP period. It never came, instead I left the office with a sono pic and a heartbeat on the screen!

got preg when 7 months...Breastfed the whole year!
I just knew it! KWIM!?!? Well not to mention the obvious! But I swore (and my DH thought I was crazy..and I obviously wasn't) I had all the signs the very next day! Nipple pain when breastfeeding, sudden dip in supply, and nauseousness!

There is a whole forum that have people who have done this! I learned a lot! It is for members...more private than their other open forums "Breastfeeding while Pregnant/Tandum BFing"

Have you considered getting an IUD? You can have it removed whenever you are ready to TTC

BF is not birth control. I got PG when my first DS was 10 months (we were trying to get PG). I BF him until he was 14 months.

Getting PG while BF is less likely when all of the following are going on:

1/ You have not gotten your period back
2/ DC only is BF - no cereal, baby food, formula,etc.
3/ You are just BF - pumping increases the risk of getting PG
4/ DC is less than 6 months old and still nursing every 3-4 hrs

I'm on the mini pill while nursing this time b/c I'm not looking to TTC anytime soon, if ever again

1. No period yet, although one day of spotting last month when i couldnty pump/nurse all day (family emergency)
2. He is eating cereal and food
3. I am pumping at work
4. He is less then 6 month sbut since i work he nurses only at night in middle of night and morninh.

I better be careful this weekend.

its my DH's bday, so you know what that means...
