We agreed on a name, granted it took us until we were IN the delivery room to agree on one, but we did

I don't go for the idea that "I carried the baby, I get to name it", I did carry him, but I wouldn't have DS without DH so he gets equal say in all decisions.

Landon - we agreed on this name, it was my suggestion and DH loved it.

The twins was a compromise and each named one of them.

Travis - DH named him

Kylie - I named her

I wish I had the only say! DH hates the only boy name that I like. I don't know what we will name a son if we are ever lucky enough to have one

I came up with a list of like 5 names I liked, and DH got to choose from that list.

we choose a couple of boy names and a couple of girl names.

We both had to agree on the name. I picked DS's name as my top option while still pregnant and DH agreed to it after he was born.

DH's name is Ken and I begged him to name our son Kenny. He only offered up one alternative, but I hated it. So, Kenny Jr. it was!

We discussed and discussued and came up together with names.

However, being Jewish, it's tradition to name the baby after a deceased relative (parent, grandparent, uncle, etc....)

With my DD I had always known who I wanted to name her after. I had say on her english name and DH had say on her hebrew name.

With my DS we both wanted to name him after both of our grandfathers, so both his english and hebrew names are after them.

I liked one name. DH liked another. We used his for 1st name & mine for middle name! Compromise!

we both picked it...i wanted one name he hated it then i wanted a jr and hated that so we agreed that my son and hubby would share the same initials and took it from there

DH actually was the one that suggested both of our kids names. But the whole naming process was done in a compromise.

We decided together.
We didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl, so we came up with a list that we both agreed with, and then once we met her, we picked from that list.
Well, we actually picked a first name from the list and decided on her middle name after she was born. So she's named after me....but not the exact same name.

Compromise. Neither one of us got our top picks. I am trying to use my girl's name that I wanted for my first DD for this baby but he will not give in.

Robbie was named by Rob at the last minute. We'd agreed on Vincent - but once he held him he wanted him to have his name. I could have refused - but I didn't want to.

Noah was a name Rob had rejected a few times - but I gave him my best "I just gave birth" look and told him that the child looked like a Noah. He could have refused.. but he didn't.

For a few years we had talked about names for a second child, and if it was a girl, we both liked the name we chose. We chose the name because we liked the nickname as well as the full name!

DH hated all of my suggestions so I made him make a list for me of his top 3 and then I chose my favorite. His list was a good list and the name we went with, I'm pretty sure I floated at some point and got rejected - I think it got to the point that if it came out of my mouth, he rejected it, lol, so I forced him to make me a list and I liked all 3 of the names on the list but one stood out especially and that's DD. My second favorite from his list will be our second DD should we one day have one.

We both agreed on the name - I couldn't imagine not "liking" my child's name. It was a must for us to both agree on the name.

Although I love the name Matthew & it's DH's name and he refused So he's Joseph Matthew

we named DS after my late father who was John, DS is Jack His middle name is a family name on both sides (Joseph)

I chose Nina (DH wanted Ella or Sadie)
We both compromised with Luke. I wanted Lucas and he agreed to Luke. If it were up to DH, Luke would have been Bo or Sawyer.

Lance Edward- DH chose his first name, I chose Edward for my grandfather and brother.

Grace Olivia- I chose Grace (my grandmother's middle name, and his as well) and we both liked Olivia.
