I actually feel like people mis-pronounce my SN... it's Randella, rhymes with Pamela-- as opposed to Ran Della.
Maybe I spelled it wrong  It's a nickname I have had my whole life though.
As soon as I saw your name, I knew how to pronounce it. It sounds like something a Jewish grandmother might do with a child's name. It doesn't work with my name, but I have heard the "ella" attached as a suffix many times in my life!

It's easiest if you just remember that its short for Chemical (chml) Engineer (engr).
OMG, that makes so much sense now!
