Re: Why does everyone tell you to wait???
my parents and grandparents tell me that too. Theyre used to their times when home decor was not the priority and putting food on the table was. IMO, some things are good to wait on like redoing bathrooms, kitchens, etc. After being in my house for a bit and using the old set-up, I have a better idea on what I want. When I first moved in, my mom said "make it your home first, fill it with love before filling it with things." powerful and kind of right!

Well, i can't speak for everyone else, but DH are taking our time to decorate and furnish our house.
We just want to get an idea on what our monthly bills will be like before we start possibly going into more debt.
Other than the baby's room, we are sticking to the basics: painting and flooring/carpeting.
