Why is my male cat wiping his butt on my rug??
I've seen dogs do this. But a cat?
Why is he doing this? The first time I saw him do it I was shocked, and I laughed at how ridiculous he looked.
But more than once - not cool.
Is the litter we use not agreeing with him? Is it something in his diet?
He doesn't do it all the time, but I've noticed it a few times (which was a few times to many).

Could be an itchy butt, or a dirty butt. See if he has poop stuck next time.

He could also be expressing his anal glands. If he does it often there could be an issue and they can be clogged. That usually requires a vet visit.
We have to keep an eye on my kitty - she's prone to it.

Could also be worms.

Could also be worms.
This may be a really silly question, but if my cat is an indoor cat, can he still get worms?
And if it is worms, should I worry about my other cat getting them too since they share a litter box?
