Why living in an apartment sometimes just BLOWS
DS just went down for a much needed nap. He was up at 5am for the day!
The SECOND he falls asleep, i hear hammers..they have decided to replace the hall carpets today at 8:30am. Now I hear sawing as well as banging.
I know the world can't stop for my kid...but geez, I can't wait to have my own place!!
Sorry vent over!!

That stinks!!! If it makes you feel any better, we own a house, but the neighbor's dog barked non-stop from about 5pm-10pm last night, and DD's room is right by their yard. It was very annoying! 
Can you use white noise of any sort by your son? A fan, etc? That helps with our DD to drown out the outside noise.

i totally sympathize! we live in a condo and they are constantly doing construction/maintenance, no wonder my DS doesnt nap long

Ohhh how I can totally relate! We live in a co-op.
I swear it's like Murphy's law.. whenever DS is going down for a nap, SOMEONE is having work done on their apartment ..usually hammering, drilling, loud banging or something else extremely NOISY
Luckily he *usually* sleeps through it but sometimes its just tough getting him to sleep with all the noise around

I know how you feel. I've been there and we ended up moving out. Our landlords (who lived below us) were the ones doing the renovations every weekend for over a year with no end in sight.
Hopefully they get their stuff done and out soon!

I know how you feel!!! we live in a house and have neighbors that have dogs that bark constantly all day and also that insist on mowing their llawn at 6 AM or 9 PM! GRRRR

If I had a gun, my neighbor's dog would have a problem. The dog barks under Josh's window 5:30 every morning, same time Josh always wakes up.
