I actually heard that Toyota is coming out with the Hybrid Highlander next year!
My FIL says i should look into that! 
lexus just came out with the rxhybrid which gets Estimated fuel consumption: 31/27 mpg city/highway. and i know honda has a v6 hybrid that gets better gas milage and have better performace 0-60 times the the regular v6

i heard the highlander AND the 4-runner come in hybrids now

We have a Jeep Liberty. It gives us PISS-POOR gas mileage.
Tops my DW gets 16-17MPG and thats almost all highway driving.
We have the Limited model though with the bigger engine... so thats probably one of the reasons we get the bad gas mileage.

The Liberty also now comes in a diesel model. Diesel gas is expensive... but it gives you 40% better gas mileage than regular gas.
