Yes. I call the ped's office - tell the nurse my "issue," she takes the message and the ped calls me back that day if he is in the office - if not, whatever ped is in the office will call me that day unless I request my ped to call.

I don't think it's unreasonable AT ALL to expect to be able to talk to your ped!

Yes..even if it's not during office hours, all calls get directly forwarded to her cell, and she always answers.

I may have to hold for a bit but the Dr always gets on the phone with me

the calls also get fwded to his cell after hours so he answers then too

DONT pay a copay!

I would call back and say.." Hi, I called 2 days ago and asked the nurse to have the Dr. Call me back, I just have a quick question about something and no-one has called back, Can someone have the Dr. call me today."

Included in the co pay you paid for the last visit with the shot and the amount the Dr. got paid is the understanding that follow up care for that visit is paid for, and this is follow up care and you want an answer.

I have her personal cell number and I call her anytime I need to. At the other practice I used I could never get a doctor on the phone.

My Dr gave me his pager number Which I have used sparingly. usually I call the nurse advice line and if they can't anwer it they will send a message to the Dr who will then answer the question and the nurse will call me or if I prefer I can ask the Dr to call me

My doctor will call me back if it's after hours. If they are in the middle of office visits, it's hard to get him on the phone.. but he will relay answers through the nurses. If I am insistent or panicked.. he makes a point of getting on the phone.

I can speak to a dr ANYTIME in my practice. I can call about anything, and someone will call me back guaranteed.

I love that about them and could never settle for less now.

we can leave emergency messages and get an immediate call back, or nonemergency messages which are generally returned same day (or next).

We have no nurses at our ped's and I love that about them too. Drs do everything, even give shots. I never have to speak to a go between. Love that.
