I want to nominate my Mom. She has been through so much in the last ten years that I think she deserves the best in life. My son is her only grandchild. It took a long time for us to have him. My Mom waited and waited...My Dad passed away in September 2001. It devastated her. She still hasn't gotten over it. My son is named after my Dad, Brendan Aidan.....We call him Aidan because my Mom has a tough time with hearing the name Brendan. She has been dealing with illness on and off for years. She has no energy most of the time, but she pushes herself to make sure she gets her Aidan time. She does everything she can for him. Even though she is wiped out after a visit with him, she can't wait to see him again. She wants to do so much with him, but her physical limitations keep her from that. I got newborn pictures done, but they didn't come out so great. She deserves to have beautiful pictures of her only grandchild. Aidan will never know his Grandpa ...I want to make sure he will always remember his Grandma...

I would like to nominate my sister Sue who lost her husband to cancer. she was left at the time with a 6 month old and a 20 month old.. she has taught me so much about being an amazing, stong mom!!!

I would like to nominate my friend Nicole. She is a full time working mom with two children aged 4 and 3. She and her husband also own a restaurant so she works 2 full time jobs and still finds the time and energy to take care of her wonderful girls! Most of the time she does this by herself since her Husband puts so many hours at the restaurant. She also makes sure to make time for her friends who need her support (like me) and make everyone feel special. She is the best friend and Mom anyone could ask for!

I would like to nominate my best friend Joanna.

Her son is a real miracle baby, he was born very early, 27 weeks!!!

He was 2 lbs and 14 inches.

I saw him the day after he was born at the special until at the hospital and if you never saw a baby that small, I can't even describe what it was like.

My best friend and her husband had to spend months traveling back and forth to the hospital over 45 minutes away from their house, as he faced one new challenge after another. They also have a daughter who they had to care for as well.

I am so happy to share that their miracle baby was eventually released from the hospital and is now over 19 months old, weighing in at almost 19 pounds.

Having a daughter of my own, I can't imagine what it was like to leave her baby at the hospital each day, fighting for his life. I am so proud that she is my best friend and grateful to have them in our lives!

I would like to nominate 2 people, since I don't live on LI and logistically it wouldn't work....but I don't want to miss this opportunity to nominate 2 of my favorite moms...

Rojerono...she has 2 boys who are a little older than the others boys on here and her love and her family and her posts give me a glimpse of the future and the family that I pray every day that mine grows in to. she and her family LIVE for each other, not simply with each other, and I am always touched by the lengths she goes. I listen to her as she talks about losing her sister..her mother and other family members and I am further inspired by the love that pours forth from her. she is so beautiful, inside and out. as is her husband and her two sons. I just know that their love and sense of family will be soaked up by the camera lens and I would love to see it.

the second person I would like to nominate is Gossip Queen for a newborn shoot. She almost never posts about it, but she went through so much to conceive Baby Girl B...enduring miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, IUI and is STILL taking injections to keep her baby safe. the lengths that she has gone to bring a child into this world inspire me and fill me with hope. I would love to see that love and hope captured in a moment.

I nominate my sister. She's 27 and has a beautful 7 year old son who she raises on her own. She has struggled with a variety of issues for the better part of her life and has worked her butt off to keep herself safe and healthy for the sake of her son! She's a very good mom!

I would like to nominate my cousin, Michelle.

Growing up, her father and mother, moved us into their home when my father walked out on the 4 of us. She so graciously shared her parents and her house with us for twenty years, so that we could have a better life then the one my father left us with. I would like to repay her in some way for the generosity she gave to me and my other siblings while i was growing up.

I would like to nominate my SIL, Marianne.

She is the mom of 2 girls, Lauren (12) and Grace (10).

Lauren was born with a genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis Type I. As a result of NF, Lauren developed brain tumors, and tumors on the ends of both her optic nerves, just before her 2nd birthday.

Since the age of 2, Lauren had been on various forms of chemotherapy, has had numerous surgeries to to remove additional tumors that have developed throughout the years, completed 7 weeks of radiation, had two strokes which required a double craniotomy procedure to revascilarize her brain.

Both the disease and the side effects of treatment have taken their toll on Lauren. She is blind in one eye, and has visual deficits in the other. Her endocrine functions have been affected, requiring treatment, and chemotherapy has damaged some of the nerves in her extremities requiring leg braces. Her permanent teeth are falling out because the chemo caused her teeth to develop with no roots. She has endured surgeries, needle sticks, port flushes, bone marrow biopsies, blood transfusions, chemotherapy infusions, radiation, long hospital stays, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and too many doctor visits to count.

Marianne, has stayed positive through ALL of this, taking Lauren to all her doctor's appointments, all while keeping life as "normal" as possible for little sister Grace, and still making sure that the girls have fun, and enjoy their lives to the fullest. She makes every day an adventure, and makes sure it is filled with lightheartedness and laughter, despite everything.

Lauren is a happy, enthusiastic and optimistic child, with a crazy, infectious laugh and a true love for life. She takes great joy in helping others, finds treasure in what others may see as ordinary or mundane, and never lets a day go by without some kind of exciting discovery. No matter what challenges are placed before her, she never gives up. Her courage, resiliency and relentless spirit are an inspiration to those who know her.

All of this, a reflection of her mother, Marianne.

I would like to nominate my sister. It took her 8 years to get pg and now has a beautiful daughter who will be threein June. She had just lost a baby recently and is very down.. I think this would be great for her as she is a WONDERFUL mother and sister.

i would like to nominate my sister kelly (kylesmommy).... she is an amazing mother to my nephew kyle who is 19 months old, but she has to work long hours just to get by and pay her bills so she has to miss out on so many milestones in kyles life and i know it tears her apart i know she would love and appreciate spending the day bonding with her son while capturing the moments with a photoshoot!! and her walls are pretty bare and these pics would certainly make her house a home!!!! and then of course i would want to give my session to my other sister kristi (JTK) cause she 4 beautiful sons and a gorgeous step daughter that always look beautiful in photos!! it would be a wonderful for the cousins to be able to have a photoshoot together :) PLEASE pick my sisters!!!!

I'd like to nominate my mom. She has been sick and is still willing to do anything she can to make mine and my family happier. She took care of both my brother and I and now is right on board to watch her grandaughter. She loves being a nana and I think she deserves this so she can be able to get the updated photos that she never could afford...

I nominate my best friend. She is the mother of two beautiful healthy happy children.

When her brother passed away tragically this year she has taken on the role as stabilizer in the life of her 3 nieces and nephew. She coordinated a fundraiser to raise money for them to benefit their future. She is heartbroken and overwhlemed, but her children would never know it because she holds her head high and is strong for them. I think she deserves to get something for all she does for others.

I nominate my best friend. She's a single mom of 3-ages 10, 7 and 6. She currently works 3 jobs and up until last year was going to school ontop of everything. She works overnights, days and nights and rarely has a day off. This girl is like wonder woman. I know she would love to have a photography session to capture her life.

I would like to nominate my best friend Maura.

Maura is an amazing mother to 4 year old twins, Madison and Jack. In Arpil, 2008, doctors found a mass in Madison's kidney. She was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor, a form of childhood cancer. She had surgery to remove her entire kidney and the tumor which was the size of a grapefruit. However, the cancer had already spread to her lungs. Madison immediately began six months of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It was a huge struggle for the family. Maura took a leave of absence from her job as a speech and language therapist for children with severe physical and mental disabilities.
Here's where it gets worse: Wilm's tumor is not considered genetic or hereditary so there was no worry about Jack. Doctors told Maura and her husband, Joe that when things settle down, to have him tested just in case. Things had finally started to calm down in their hectic lives so they scheduled an ultrasound for Jack. In August, 2008, the nightmare got worse because Jack was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor. He too, had to undergo major surgery to remove his kidney and he began his 18 weeks of chemotherapy treatments.

Jack is in remission and is doing great! However, Madison relapsed a first time, went through more chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant (which involved 6 weeks of isolation in the hospital followed by strict precautions at home) and just relapsed again for the second time. She just began a TWO YEAR treatment plan of chemotherapy. Her prognosis is not good.

Maura is home taking care of two medically fragile children. She is a loving, selfless woman who truly puts the needs of her children before her own. She deserves any joy that could possibly come her way. This photo shoot would be an amazing way to capture her family all together and happy.

I nominate my friend Liz. She is living in Hawaii at the current moment but, comes back to NY a few times a year. Her DH is in the Navy. He is frequently underway on a submarine and she has to be alone with her 6 month old most of the time. When the baby was just 2 months old she had to pick up and move to Hawaii to be with her DH. She didn't know anyone and it was very difficult for her. I just know that she could use something so beautiful to cheer her up as this is difficult for her. Even being in Hawaii with her DH is hard because he is away for weeks and months at a time so she is raising DD all by herself most of the time with no family around to help.

I would like to nominate my mother. She is the kindest, most loving and altruistic person I know. She also raised 5 of us, that couldn't have been easy I would love her to have something special like this!

I would like to nominate my mom, Lynn.
My mom was a great mom when we were growing up. There were times when we had very little and my mom never let us catch on. She was often almost like a single mom because my dad worked three jobs at a time and was not home much. She is the model mother and I always aspire to be just like her. Although we fought a lot when I was younger, my mom is now my best friend!
Not only does my mom take care of her own family (my mom still has her own child to raise, my sister is 15) but she also watches my DD 5 days a week and does an amazing job! I would like to thank her for all she has done for us over the years with a photo shoot of our family.
