Win a free photo session from Lexi-Bella Photography!

In celebration of their new Long Island studio launch Lexi-Bella Photography wants to know all about your favorite places on Long Island. All you need to do is tell them, “If you won a free photo session, and they could shoot it anywhere on Long Island, where would it be, why, and for whom?” Photos are welcomed and encouraged.

The contest winner will receive an on location session at the winning entry location, an online viewing gallery to share with family and friends and a CD with high resolution images fully edited and retouched with a personal print release.

One entry allowed per person and you must post your entry on this contest thread. Contest ends March 22, 2010 and winner will be announced that week.

I would love to do a shoot at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum with DH and DS.

We did a family shoot there when I was little with my parents and brother and I would love to do something similar with my own little family now. It has always been one of my favorite places on the Island. I grew up on the Bay and always loved walking around the Arboretum with my parents and grandparents. I'm hoping I can create wonderful memories there with my DS and DH as well.

I would love to do a family shoot at Caumsett State Park. My family used to go there every weekend when we were young and I have so many memories. I was walking there a lot when I was pregnant with DS and was trying to walk him out. There is a special tree there that I would love to have in a family photo

i'd have to pick Adventureland - with Emma, Dave & myself.

We had engagement pictures done there and had such a ball.

We have travelled to so many amusement parks (dave's a coaster enthusiast) - they are going to be part of Emma's life for many years to come. I'd LOVE to be able to start her at the one that I went to when I was a child and loved so very, very much.

Where: Sands Point Preserve
Why: It's so varied, between the beach, the wooded trails and the 3 different mansions you can get so many beautiful shots.
Who: Mostly the 2 kids, but a few with DH and I with them too. Mainly for us but to give as gifts to the grandparents as well.

ETA: If you are looking for a sentimental reason why Sands Point, when we were dating and engaged DH and I went there most weekends to walk around. We had some of our engagement pictures done there. We've taken the kids and they love it there too.

Northport Harbor.
It was my mom's favorite place.
Since she passed away just before my son's 1st birthday and she will never meet the twins I am carrying, I would love to do a photoshoot at Northport Harbor of my 3 children in her honor. I feel like if her spirit is anywhere, it would be there.

I would have to say Montauk on the beach but I live in Queens so that would be a treck.

I say Montauk bc I have gone to Montauk every summer since I was seven yrs old and how the fondest of memories with my grandparents then parents and siblings and now with the whole family including my dd and soon to be dd in my belly.

If Montauk is too far I would say Port Jefferson is beautiful, like where Danford's Inn is.

eta I thought of another one that's a sentimental one for me and that would be Fox Hollow bc that's where I got married and I love the grounds!

well DS isnt born YET, but he will be soon (so i dont even know if this counts)...

Greenport the wineries, the carousel, the "small town" feel, the little shops, antiques, piers, boats, beaches etc

Greenport is "our place" - myself and DH and we cannot wait unitl we can bring DS We were there memorial day weekend last year and I remember thinking "I cant wait to be one of these mom's strolling my baby around town" and this summer, I will be one

I would say the Nunley's carosel in Garden City..

My parents divorced when I was 3 (long before divorce became "popular" - for a long time I was the only child in my class with divorced parents). My father had me every weekend and we'd do so much fun things together, but one we did most often was going to nunleys.
I'll never forget the look of my dad's face as he reached for those brass rings.. me & my cousin would always try to get one, but we never could.

Last spring we took Madeline (DD) to ride the carosel and it was bitter sweet.. to see her riding it... to think of how far I've come in my life and, despite all the ups & downs of coming from a "broken home" how great my relationship is with my dad.

For that reason I'd love to do a photoshoot with me, my dad, and my two DC on that carosel.

I would love a family photo shoot at the Bluff in Kings Park (right on the water by Docksides). The location brings back a ton of memories for my family and its the location where my DH proposed to me over the radio in the parking lot.

I've been dying for a family photo shoot since loosing some weight and building my bond with my DH over the last couple of months. We hit a rough patch right after DS was born and we've been building our relationship and its the strongest its been in a while. Money is extremely tight for us. No vacations this year, my DH is still making ends meet with part time work. Hopefully this could be a sign that things will turn up for us.

Plus, now the weather is getting better, we'd love to take DS there to play around (now that he is a toddler). I'm a Smithtown girl and always loved the Bluff!

For the above reasons I would love a photo shoot for me, my DS and DH (and our dog Chevy too if pets are allowed also)

My spot: the lavendar fields (Lavendar by the Bay) on the North Fork, East Marion. It's our annual tradition to go out East on my b-day with our daughter and spend a beautiful day there. This year, I'll have a 2-week-old, and we still plan on making the trip...now with BOTH of my daughters

A stop at the Greenport Carousel would be perfect too—it makes DD sooooo happy!

DH and I met because we love the Yankees so much. The Yankees were our wedding theme, actually. The year our DD Riley was born, the Yankees won the World Series (we totally predicted that would happen, too. )

My ultimate dream would have been for DH & I to have our engagement pics at Yankee Stadium, but that never happened. Now that we have Riley, I think Citibank Park (where the LI Ducks play) would be an awesome alternative for some family shots to get us in our 'element.'

I would do my photo session at Planting Fields Arboretum. My parents have a photo of me and my mom walking through the rose arches when I was two or three years old...then we did our wedding photos there and one of our favorite shots was DH and I walking through the same spot. It would be wonderful to have it all come full circle and have my kids photographed there.

My parents' home/yard--- a casual shoot with my son, my husband, my siblings, and my parents.

This is such a huge time in my family - I just had the first grandchild, my sister is getting married, my brother is prepping to spend a semester in Europe, and my parents do so much for ALL of us.

I'd love to honor them with some beautiful family shots taken in the place that means safety, love, warmth (and a full plate ) to display in their living room. Everything they do is for US, and it's been like that for as long as I can remember. They deserve it. We'll never get this time back - what I wouldn't give to capture how they light up when they're playing with my son

Crab Meadow Beach, great boardwalk, a playground ON the beach with the water as a backdrop....Plus I got engaged there.

Or The little shopping village at the Milleridge Inn.

I'd love to have a photo shoot at Lido Beach West.

My mom and grandma have been going there for years, bringing my sister and I along as long as we've been alive. This year will be the first year my DD is here and I can't wait to share that with her and my mom. It's becoming too hard for grandma to walk the distance to the beach, but I'd love to have some pictures to share with her of her great-granddaughter at her favorite place in the world.

I would have to say Avalon Park in Stony Brook. My DH and I were supposed to have our wedding pictures there, bu unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for us. I would love to be able to now have a family portrait taken there!!

If I won a family session I would lovvve to have it at planting fields, that is the place where we had our wedding photos and its absolutely beautiful

we have amazing pictures by a cherry tree & a big pink tree that just blossomed before we had our pictures there & it was absoultely breathtaking!!!!

I would love this session bc I take great shots of DH and DD and DH takes great shots of me and DD but we dont have any great shots of the 3 of us. We just got back from vacation, and we have great pics (just not any that include the 3 of us.... those are taken by strangers that we just asked to take as they were passing by ;(

It would be great to send amazing family photos to my DH's mother and both set of our granparents who live in poland and didnt even get to meet DD yet
