Window in the shower?
DH and I found a place we LOVE this weekend. Only thing is there's a window in the shower, which is something I am NOT used to. The house is situated on an angle on a corner so that window faces the side street and the front of the neighbors house.
There's a makeshift curtain in front of it now that looks like it was made from a shower curtain. I was thinking we could either buy another curtain or possibly frost the window. Anyone have windows in your showers? How do you cover it? Can you post pics? TIA!

Re: Window in the shower?
We do. We have plastic horizontal blinds. One of our bathrooms, while it doesn't have a window in the shower, is DC's bathroom, so I didn't want anything hanging over the window. I just got really cheap, simple, easy to install window frosting from HD. Took about 15 minutes to install it, and that's mainly because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to home projects.

We have a window in our shower. Before we moved in we put frosted contact paper over the glass. No curtain or anything.

Re: Window in the shower?
we did in our last house but it faced the back yard and we had a patio so no one could see anything and it was a high window, the bottom was at my shoulders so no one could see anything.....
in my last apartment we had a larger window and we used frosted contact paper over it

Re: Window in the shower?
We had one in our apartment and it faced the backyard and our landlords were ALWAYS having bbqs and family over etc. BUT we made sure nothing could be seen in day or night.....and you couldn't see anything. We had a frost/beveled window, plastic blinds and a vinyl shower window curtain.

Re: Window in the shower?
My parents' house had windows in both showers. Downstairs we have mini blinds (bittch to clean). Upstairs we have colored contact paper for windows. It's like a stained glass bamboo pattern. It's cute.

Re: Window in the shower?
I have a window in my shower, & the window is the front of my house as well. They do sell curtains that are made esepcially for the window . I got mnd @ Milburn Curtains . Its kinda like a mini curtain with a extension rod , thats fits perfectly in the window. HTH

Re: Window in the shower?
We have one but the bottom pane is frosted/speckled glass (I don't know the real name - it has a texture so you can't see through it!).
It also faces the back yard.

Re: Window in the shower?
I've never had a bathroom without a window! Any place I have lived, there has been contact paper over the window so you couldnt see in.

Re: Window in the shower?
I wish I had a window in our shower! Whenever I shower at my FIL's house, I love sticking my head out the window while I'm showering, especially at night in the winter (the combo of the hot water and cold air is awesome. I'm weird). Anyway, his bottom glass is frosted and we just open the window from the top to let the steam out.

Re: Window in the shower?
My parents have windows in both of their showers. They make special vinyl curtains for windows in showers or you could always frost the window. It is great to have a window for the ventilation

I agree! I love showering with the window open!
