Re: Wine drinkers come in!
Wow, there are so many that are on the inexpensive side that I like.
I really like Yellow Tail Cab Sav. There is one that I like called Gato Negro, I don't remember what region it is from. Brazil? I can't remember.
I like lots of LI wines, but one of my favorites is from Bedell the cabernet.

Re: Wine drinkers come in!
Posted by cloddy I'm a big fan of Australian and New Zealand wines b/c they're good quality but not expensive.
I agree! It is even cheaper here!
I suggest:
Wolf Blass Yellow Label Riesling (my fav) or any other yellow label
Jacobs Creek Riesling
Cloudy Bay Sav Blanc, most New Zealand wines are fab
Pinot Noirs from Tasmania are quite nice as well. Sorry I forget all the names, but Ninth Island is great.
ETA: I really like DeMartino Cab Sauv from Chile. Chilean wines have a nice taste for their price.

Re: Wine drinkers come in!
I really like Long Island wines. Since we live out on the North Fork, they're so accessible, too. I love Martha Clara wines, especially the Glacier's End and their 2004 Chardonnay. And Palmer makes delicious whites, I especially like their Light House White, but it sells out so quickly every year. I'm only a white wine drinker, with the exception of in the winter when I drink Osprey Dominion's Spiced Red Wine.
