Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I hate to spend money on that but being due in late Feb - I may not have a choice right?
What did you get/are you getting/did you do?

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I'm not, but I'm due early December. I'm using my coats and leaving them open. If I were due in Feb, I'd probably buy one.

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I plan on it as I have till the mid-Feb also. There's just no way I can get by a whole winter walking through the city in a regular coat that doesn't close. I tried on a cute one in Mimi but it wasn't heavy enough. I need a good, heavy one.

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I'm due in Feb too, and have been debating this. I'm really undecided. I'm also "planning" on going for #2 next Fall, and if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again when I want to, then I'd be pregnant through the winter and at that point feel I'd get my $$'s worth out of having a winter maternity coat.
I really have no idea though!

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I am so glad this question was posted, because I am wondering where to go for one. I'm not due until March, so I need a winter coat badly.
I saw Gap Online had their "warmest jacket", but it's made of polyester and nylon, so I don't know how warm it will be.
Here it is...what do you think?

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I'm due in February.... I'm not spending the money on one. My DH has an old ski jacket that is pretty big that I will use when I want to wear a coat. I'm always HOT!!

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
No, I bought a men's zip up sweatshirt. I will wear a sweater or something underneath - this way DH can wear it when I am done being pregnant. I am due the middle of January, and have heard from numerous people you are so hot at the end of the pregnancy you don't need a warm coat.

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I am hoping to borrow a coat from my mom or my MIL....they are both bigger ladies, so I am hoping that works out. I hate to spend the money!
I also thought about going to Steve & Barry's.....DH got a down coat there last year for $10!

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I had DS in April and had a heavy corduroy jacket for that winter and that was more than enough.

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I'm due at the end of Thanksgiving so I think I can get away without one but if I was due in February I def. would.
I'm 33 weeks now and normally a very hot person but even I'm cold today! I don't think you'll make it through Jan. on pregnancy heat!

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I got one in Plus Size Non-Maternity at Lord & Taylor Clearance Center for $30 (wool!!). Honestly, maternity coats are way too expensive. Plus, the one I got is empire waist anyway

I like this one too. I'm due in April so it all depends when I don't fit in mine anymore. I'll want a jacket I can close b/c I'm in and out of schools all day.

Re: Winter and Pregnant: Are you getting a maternity coat?
I think being due in February, you should get one.
I bought one off ebay last year so I got it for about 50% of the retail cost and I wound up wearing it for the rest of the winter, even though DD was born in January. Believe me, I was trying to wear my regular coats 3 days pp but I couldn't fit them over my pp boobs.
