Winthrop, visitor question
Their webiste says no children allowed, other than siblings. Does anyone know if this is inforced? Not complaining about it, sorta like the idea for safety, just curious.
Also, is it true that the baby HAS to be with you during visiting hours now too, as in you can't put the baby back in the nursery if you have visitors?

Re: Winthrop, visitor question
not sure about children- but you can send the baby back to the nursery whenever you want during the day and you can request that the nurses give your baby their nighttime feedings so you can rest.

Re: Winthrop, visitor question
My SIL said there were security guards that enforced the no children rule. That was a couple of months ago though.

Re: Winthrop, visitor question
My sister delivered at Winthrop a year ago and the security guards are very strict with the no children rule. My nieces and nephews were not allowed to come in at all.. even when the baby was in the nursery.

Re: Winthrop, visitor question
Tnx for the information.....I think it's actually good to have limited visitors, too much is overwhelming.

Re: Winthrop, visitor question
I just delivered at winthrop a few days ago. Some security guards were very strict with the 2 people at a time policy. However there would be some nights that I had more visitors than that in my room. Also my 3 1/2 year old niece got in to visit me 2 nights in a row. My brother in law and sister said the guard they had both times never even asked how she was related to me. I am not sure about returning the baby to the nursery policy because I always had the baby with me during visiting hours. I just asked no one to come that was sick and for everyone to wash there hands before even looking at DD.
