Wipes Warmer......
Is everyone registering for one?? I have on on my registry it hasn't been purchased yet but I was wondering how important it really is. I read some people didn't even bother with it......

Re: Wipes Warmer......
It seems like most people think this is a waste of $$. I also read that some of the old ones were actually fire hazards, which was enough to scare me away.

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I wouldn't get one unless you really rhink you need one. During the first month or so - I didn't use baby wipes- I use warm wet paper towels because my little guy would get a rash from them (even the sensitive wipes) I hear that the wipes warmers dry out some of the wipes too- some people swear on these whings- but I never found a use...

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I did register for one, but I'm not sure if I'll buy one if I don't get it as a gift. I know it probably sounds ridiculous, but the thought of a cold wipe on my baby's hiney makes me sad.

We won't be getting one. We are not comfortable leaving something that heats plugged in all the time. I'm sure my child will survive a few room-temperature wipes.

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I didn't get one, it seems like a waste to me. My SIL had one for my niece and if you didn't use it the second you took it out it got cool again. Honestly I don't think a cool wipe to my baby's bottom is going to really effect them.

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I loved mine. My DS would scream at the top of his lungs if a cold wipe touched his bottom especially with middle of the night changes... With the warm wipes he went right back to sleep after. I loved mine and recommend it to everyone

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I had one with my daughter. Its kinda cool, but kinda annoying at the same time. There is a little pillow that you have to keep wet on the bottom, and if it dries out, it takes moisture from the wipes.
And the baby actually liked when the wipes were cold...it made her giggle!

Re: Wipes Warmer......
Umm, I hold the wipe in my hand a couple of seconds if it feels particularly cold, but I don't see the need to condition my child to need a warm wipe on her tushy.

Re: Wipes Warmer......
For some reason, these make me laugh. Why does a baby need a warm wipe on its arse?? I just feel like I'll be making the kid high maintenance, needing a warm wipe on its butt. I know I'm ridiculous, but this is what I think. Plus, what happens when you aren't at home and need a wipe? Chances are you won't have a warm one available, so why bother at home? I don't know, JMO.

Re: Wipes Warmer......
I did register for it and did receive and did use it for the first 2.5 months and then I stopped using it. The one I had, had a pad at the bottom of the wipes that needed to moistened once a week and I didnt remember to do that so the wipes would dry out. I just stopped using it and DS was fine. I don't plan to use it with our nice child.
