Wisdom teeth pulled
So I got three wisdom teeth pulled this morning. Thank goodness they weren't impacted.
Feeling a little woosy still from the anesthia. Laying in bed waiting for the bleeding to stop. SO just went out to get me a milkshake what a great guy!
UPDATE: Well thought everything was going great until I started getting pain in my mouth on Sunday it got progressively worse, last night I was up all night. Saw my oral surgeon today and I have dry socket I have never experienced so much pain in my life. He put a medicated dressing in it which relieved it somewhat. How annoying!!

Re: Wisdom teeth pulled
Yes, everyone is right - NO STRAWS!
Painkillers are your friend, too. Make sure to take them on schedule for the first day or two, even if you don't feel any pain. That means they're working. You don't want to wait until the pain gets bad - you want to stay ahead of the pain.
I lived on milkshakes and mashed potatoes for a few days when I had mine out.
FEEL BETTER! It'll all be over soon!

It hurts like HELL!! The suction is no good and really hurts.
I learned it the hard way.

Re: Wisdom teeth pulled
I'm having all 4 pulled next Friday. I just hope that I can deal with the pain successfully enough to take care of the kids.

Re: Wisdom teeth pulled
Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling better just sore. I had soup last night and a potato. This morning I had waffles soaked in syrup so it was soft, oatmeal for lunch. I just had ravioli's for dinner, took a while to eat but wasn't bad.

Aw hun....feel better!
I had my 4 impacted ones pulled a few years ago.....hurt like hell but it was great for my diet that summer
Take it easy and use those ice packs to keep swelling down.

Good luck. All four of mine were impacted and two were encapsulated in cysts... They had to take out part of my jawbone... but I made it through and was totally fine! It hurts for a few days, but the pain meds DO help. It's bearable. Just plan on lots of rest and you'll be fine!!

Re: Wisdom teeth pulled
Turns out women who take oral contraceptives are more susceptible to getting dry socket. They say to schedule between day 23- 28 of your cycle. I wish I would have knew this before I got my teeth pulled.
