With regards to car seats and strollers

Did you register for a travel system and 2 bases for the car?

I figured when the baby is little, the smaller carrier is fine. As long as we have a base in each car, it wont be a problem

Im thinking to when he/she is bigger. Is it better to register for 2 car seats? At what age do they get switched to the convertible car seat?

I registered for the Graco Snugride and an extra base for our second car. I debated registering for a convertible carseat. I know when the baby gets to big for the infant carrier we will need two of those but we won't need them for a few months so I'd rather get all the other things on my registry now. If it looks like everything is going off the registry when it gets a bit closer to my shower I might add one and then we'll buy a second when it is time.

I registered for a travel system, an extra base, the Britax Roundabout and the Graco comfortsport. We need two convertibles because my DH will be dropping at daycare and I will be picking her up. I got them all at my shower Might as well register for them and if people buy them that is great for you!

We registered for the Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat and 2 bases.

Also registered for 1 Britax Roundabout (convertible care seat). I don't think we will get 2 convertibles since we plan on designating my car as the "baby" car anyway. But that is still up for debate.

I would never register for 2 convertibles, if we decide we do want one in each car we will buy it ourselves.

But definitely register for a convertible. They are pricey and I don't believe you should only register for what you need short term. It's not like the items are going to waste. Just because you may not use them within the first 3 months doesn't mean it isn't a necessity.
