Re: Women that FF their babies

We used Similac then Similac Sensitive. Next time around I would prefer Gentlease, for digestion issues that is.

Re: Women that FF their babies

Thanks for responding. I have all these samples and I am curious as to what people use without allergies or digestive issues changing their minds. Does one brand offer more than the other??? Does similac offer more than enfamil or are they all about the same??

I FF DD after 8 months...I used whatever I had coupons for or samples. If I had to buy I would buy Earth's Best, so she bounced from one formula to another. The ped said "ah, you've learned that there is no difference between brands"

Re: Women that FF their babies

We used Enfamil Gentlease with DS and I plan on using that with DD as well.

Started in the hospital with Similac Advance. We then switched to the Sensitive. I tried to use the RTF Enfamil, but I did NOT like the RTF can. I like the RTF bottles for the Similac much better.

Re: Women that FF their babies

Enfamil Gentlease. DD was a fussy colicky baby and this formula surprisingly agreed well with her. Then we switched to the Target brand of this formula (the purple one) and DD showed absolutely no issues with it so we've stuck with that. It is a fraction of the cost. Chat Icon

Started with Similac and switched to Enfamil A.R. Lipil (due to them spitting up from similac).

We use Gentlease and are happy with it.

I found that Similac Sensitive made DS 1 very gassy. He has issues with lactose so we just didn't sleep for 8 months since that was the only formula he would drink.

Similac Advance Ready to Feed.

My boys didn't do well on the powdered version.

Whatever is on sale/have coupons for. Essentially, they are all the same. DS started with Enfamil newborn and now we are using Similiac

DS started on Similac Advanced....switched to Sensitive due to gas/tummy issues. He's still on that now. He's always been on RTF....easier, heavier, etc. When we saw the ped for his 4 month check up last month she said that, at this age, you can start to jump around if you wanted as the digestive system isn't as sensitive anymore.

Re: Women that FF their babies

With my first dd she was on 5 different formulas until we tried gerber goodstart gentle. She had terrible colic and this formula finally seemed to work. Now my 2nd dd is on enfmail newborn. She is doing great on this. She is only suppose to stay on this until her 16 th week. After that we plan on switching her to gerber good start as well.

Similac, powdered. Costco carries it and they take the checks, so that was the best priced option for us.

we used similac in the hospital and then gerber goodstart at home

at 4 months, we had to switch to Similac Alimentum

this time around, we will use Similac and stick with it. I like all of the different options for RTF and powder etc.

Re: Women that FF their babies

Started on Enfamil because that is what the hospital provided.
Then switched to BJ's brand- same exact thing- less than HALF the price.

When she needed an AR formula for reflux I switched to Target version of AR- Target is great because they have so many varieties of their generic- so they had AR, a version of gentelease, a version of soy.
Loved it and she did great on it. Oh and I saved hundreds.

Re: Women that FF their babies

We used Similac Sensitve with Rice Starch for DD#2 due to reflux.

DD#3 we used Enfamil Infant and added oatmeal cereal to everything due to reflux.

We used the powder of both.

Similac powder. The RTF made my kids spit up.

Re: Women that FF their babies

hospital started on similac advanced. My ped. said that it was fine to switch between similac and enfamil as long as we were using the regular formula and that is what we did. I used similac RTF for the first 3 months, and switched to powder after that. Costco brand is made by similac, I used that as she got older.
