work baby announcement question
in our station we have a few large televisions on which we display information... everything from changes in work schedules to job openings to fun things happening.
since the new year, we started announcing babies born to our package handlers. this is completely optional and we only provide as much or as little information as the new parents want to share.
so far, we've only had two. today, i received info on our third baby.
here is my question to you...
would it be best if i kept the background (using powerpoint slides) the same for all babies and just plugged in the data provided or would having a rotation of backgrounds be best?
i'm toying with a max of 4 or 5 backgrounds

Re: work baby announcement question
Same, gender neutral. Congratulations on the birth of Xxx to Yyy and their family. Some may want to include birth weight or birth day. You could put boy names in blue and girl names in pink or write it’s a boy, what a joy or something like that.

work baby announcement question
I think if you changed the backgrounds, it might make it easier to stand out that there is something new. I think people get used to seeing the same things, so they may not notice that it's info on a new baby because the background is the same as what they saw last week, for example. But, in the end, whatever you prefer is fine. Keeping it the same is easier, so that's reason enough to keep it the same.

Re: work baby announcement question
i decided to split the difference.
i'm using the same background in four different gender-neutral colors. this way there is enough that is different to catch the eye, but not so different that i have to think too much lol
this is definitely one task i enjoy doing. new baby pictures is such a nice change of pace.
